The Perito Moreno Glacier in Patagonia has an interesting relationship with the Brazo Rico River. The tongue of the glacier slowly pushes its way into it and keeps damming it up to around 25 meters ... until finally the water pressure breaks up the glacier, the water drains away and the game begins again after two to four years.

Due to global warming, however, it is questionable whether this phenomenon will continue to exist.

We were there at a time when suddenly a huge block of ice broke out of the ice front and created a huge wave with a roar.

Spectacular moments are likely when visiting the glacier, but the small features such as an interestingly shaped cloud also give the icy backdrop a special atmosphere.
